This open-air museum has recreated with great accuracy a group of thatched cottages in their natural environment of gardens and orchards. Affording superb views of the Auvergne mountains, this museum is both a conservatory of plants traditionally found on medieval sites and a farm inhabited by a variety of typical farm animals.
An educational and living reconstruction of peasant life in the Xaintrie in the 15C. Open from Easter to early November, daily in July and August. Guided tours for individual visitors at specified times and by prior arrangement for groups. Duration: 1hr 30min.
