This medieval town and former stronghold is recognisable from afar by its silver dome. The old town quarter has narrow sloping streets lined with pretty houses, and you can visit Place Paul Froment - a pleasant square to stop for a drink - and many arts and crafts workshops.

The town has a panoramic view over the Lot valley, from the viewpoint indicator near the basilica.
